Huachuma Ceremony

Open Heart Ceremony

A gentle, heart-opening journey with Huachuma - the ancient medicine of connection, clarity, and compassion. Two days, one night, in the hills of Northern Thailand.

The Heart Knows What the Mind Cannot Yet See

Some medicines work with the depths. Huachuma works with the heart. Known for thousands of years across the Andean tradition as a medicine of connection, Huachuma gently opens the door between who you are and who you're becoming, not through intensity, but through softness, clarity, and presence.

The Open Heart Ceremony is a 2 day, 1 night immersion designed for those seeking a gentler, heart-centred experience with plant medicine. Whether this is your first time sitting with sacred medicine or you've worked with Grandmother Vine and are drawn to something different, this retreat offers a unique and accessible path inward.

Unlike the deep inner excavation of longer retreats, this ceremony focuses on opening, opening the heart, softening the walls, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be felt.

The Heart Medicine

Huachuma has been used for over 3,000 years in the Andean healing tradition. Where Grandmother Vine often takes you inward and downward, into shadow, memory, and the subconscious - Huachuma tends to move outward and upward. It opens the heart space, dissolves barriers to connection, and brings a gentle clarity that many describe as seeing the world as if for the first time.

Participants often report a deep sense of love, gratitude, and interconnection, not just with themselves, but with the natural world around them. This is why so much of the ceremony takes place outdoors, immersed in nature. The medicine and the landscape work together.

What Makes This Different

While Grandmother Vine ceremonies typically take place at night and involve deep internal journeying, Huachuma ceremonies are held during the day. The experience is gentler, more embodied, and deeply connected to the senses. You remain present, grounded, and aware - able to walk, talk, and engage with the beauty around you.

This makes the Open Heart Ceremony an ideal entry point for those new to plant medicine, or a powerful complement for those who've already done deeper work and are seeking integration through the heart.
